Hanging Out At University of Wisconsin-Madison

Last year I had the pleasure of working and playing at University of Wisconsin-Madison with Aishah Shahidah Simmons during their Sexual Assault Awareness Month program. Organized by the students of P.A.V.E (Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment), Aishah and I spent 3 days at UW-Madison talking to different student groups. Additionally, she screened her film and we performed her spoken word piece “For Women Of Rage And Reason.” I’ll be done with the video soon, so you’ll get to see exactly what it’s all about. For now…enjoy my simple ramblings.
